Matt Smyth is Senior Office Specialist specializing in corporate real estate advisory. With his dedicated focus to solving his client’s individual needs, Matt operates with the highest of ethical standards and integrity that each client seeks and rightfully deserves.

A Cincinnati native, Matt uses his extensive knowledge of the local markets in identifying key strategic alternatives for his clients to leverage and maximize cost savings in all negotiations. Matt is proficient in understanding his clients' individual operational objectives. He customizes his approach to create positive operating leverage as it relates to their lease structure and overall real estate picture. Matt’s
approach is more as a partner than service provider, allowing his clients to focus more on their business, not real estate.

Prior to joining Carey Laumer Commercial Realty, Matt worked for The Staubach Company, where his sole focus was on tenant representation. This provided Matt with the opportunity to understand real estate intricacies from the tenant’s perspective and develop an approach that mitigated risk for his clients while creating maximum leverage throughout the negotiation process. Matt later joined Jones Lang LaSalle, the world’s largest full service commercial real estate firm where he continued as an advocate on the behalf of tenants utilizing his knowledge of current and historical market trends, statistical and property databases, financial analysis and lease abstraction practices.

Matt has provided lease security for a list of clients that includes Bartlett and Company, PepsiCo, John Hancock Financial Network, Unity Financial, Ricondo & Associates, and Environmental Resources Management.  In 2007 and 2008, Matt completed twelve transactions totaling over 75,000 square feet with total transaction values over $10,000,000.

Matt, his wife and two young children live in Hyde Park and are active in various community and charitable organizations.
